Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Otovar app and web pages. By using the app you accept these terms.

Service

Otovar lets auto repair shops manage their service records, appointments, stock and collections, and lets vehicle owners track their vehicles' service history, reminders, fault reports and expenses. The app also offers navigation, road reports, speed camera and toll information.

Account

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password safe.
• You are responsible for actions taken with your account. A mechanic is responsible for the accounts of staff they add to their business and for the actions those staff take.
• Accounts may be suspended or closed for use that breaks the rules.

Service records and liability

• Service records, prices and work performed are entered by the mechanic; the mechanic who enters a record is responsible for its accuracy.
• A mechanic is the data controller under KVKK for the customer information they record or import, and must have obtained it lawfully.
• Otovar is not a party to the business relationship between mechanics and vehicle owners.

Paid plans

• Pro, ProX and Ad-free plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Google Play; payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are subject to Google Play terms. You can cancel your subscription in Google Play at any time and keep using it until the end of the paid period.
• Outside Turkey, prices are shown by Google Play in the local currency including local taxes and may be updated for new subscribers as exchange rates change.
• When the free trial given to newly registered mechanics ends, the account moves to the free plan unless a plan is purchased. For free trial offers on Google Play, the paid subscription starts unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Plan contents and prices may change with prior notice; paid features may temporarily be offered free of charge during campaigns.

Trip, speed camera and toll information

• Speed camera, traffic camera and average speed check points come from the public EDS map of the Turkish General Directorate of Security, and bridge and motorway tolls from the General Directorate of Highways tariffs. This information is for guidance only and may be incomplete or out of date.
• Navigation, routes and road reports are aids only. Obeying traffic rules, speed limits and road signs is always the driver's responsibility. Do not handle the app while driving; let a passenger make reports.
• These features may not be available in some countries or languages and may be turned off temporarily.

User content

You are responsible for your reviews, road reports and other content you share; content that breaks the rules may be removed.

Prohibited use

Insults, fake reviews, false or malicious road reports, opening accounts on behalf of others, overloading the system or attempting to breach its security are prohibited.

Limitation of liability

Otovar is provided as is; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, except in cases of intent or gross negligence, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Consumers' statutory rights are reserved.

Language and governing law

These terms and the other legal texts are prepared in Turkish; translations into other languages are for information only and in case of conflict the Turkish text prevails. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey; for consumers, Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts have jurisdiction.
